Rakhine Orchid Extension: 4 Days/3 Nights Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk U - Yangon

The Rakhine races live on the narrow strip of the western coast, their history and culture going back to the 2nd Century. Their last royal capital is Mrauk U, now a site e of a ruined palace and magnificent temples of stone. The architecture and the style of images are vastly different from those of the rest of the city. Relief figures lining the temple corridors are a precious record of the life of king and comer of the various periods. It is reached by boat along the placid Kaladan River from the seaport town of Sittwe with its lovely wooden houses and a lively fish market.

Day 1	Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk U (L/D)
	In the morning, transfer from your hotel in Yangon to Yangon airport for the flight to Sittwe. On arrival, welcome and transfer to the boat to Mrauk U (5-6 hours transfer). Picnic lunch on the boat. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 2	Mrauk U (B/L/D)
	Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit of Mrauk U site : Sakyamanaung and Ratanamanaung Pagodas, Andaw Temple enshrining the Buddha’s Tooth, Shitthaung Temple and Htut Kan Sima. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3	Mrauk U - Sittwe - (B/L/D)
	Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit Mro tribe village, Bandoola monastery and Palace Wall. Return to Sittwe by boat after lunch. Arrive Sittwe in the late afternoon. Welcome and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a leisure walk on black sand bank near your hotel. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 4	Sittwe - Yangon (B/L)
	Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit of the town : local market, Kaladan river port, Cultural and Buddhist Museums, Moe Kyaw Thu monastery and the Mosque. Lunch at local restaurant, then transfer to Sittwe Airport for the flight back to Yangon.
